Upcoming Event: Announcing The Center for the Study of the American Constitution Spring Conference

The Legislative Branch: Historical Context and Contemporary Challenges

The Center for the Study of the American Constitution is inviting Missouri educators to attend a two-day conference addressing the legislative branch. This conference will feature professors Fred W. Beuttler of Carroll University and former Deputy Historian of the U.S. House of Representatives and John P. Kaminski, director of the Center for the Study of the American Constitution at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. This conference features four scholar presentations and two pedagogy sessions. The probable agenda is below.

A grant from the Center for the Study of the American Constitution provides housing, travel and meal stipends. Participants will be staying on the University of Wisconsin-Madison campus a short walk to the conference facilities. The conference is limited to 15 resident participants who will be selected on a “first come, first serve” basis. Graduate credits are available through the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Education. After all the resident participants are selected, it may have room for five additional persons who wish to join us during the day sessions.
