Missouri Bar members visit state lawmakers as part of Fourth Annual Legislative Day

On Wednesday, March 2, members of The Missouri Bar Board of Governors met at the State Capitol for the bar’s fourth annual Legislative Day. There, board members – joined by members of the Legislative Committee and Amicus Lex – met with lawmakers to discuss Missouri Bar resources as well as bar-drafted legislation including the sealing of criminal records, a comprehensive revision to Missouri’s Commercial Receivership Act and a series of technical changes related to probate and trust law, among others.

Members spoke with dozens of lawmakers from both chambers, including Speaker of the House and lawyer legislator Rep. Todd Richardson, R-Poplar Bluff, and Senate President Pro Tem Sen. Ron Richard, R-Joplin.
