Missouri Bar introduces newest public service announcement

Navigating the legal system can be a challenge – especially for non-lawyers who aren’t familiar with the judicial process or law-related terms. In a new 30-second public service announcement created to address this issue, 2015-16 Missouri Bar President Erik Bergmanis and a Missouri citizen discuss the many resources available to the public via MissouriLawyersHelp.org, including brochures on common legal topics, the Lawyer Search ServiceMini Law Schools, and a legal glossary.

“Educating citizens on the rule of law and how it impacts their daily lives is an integral part of The Missouri Bar’s mission, and we, along with our lawyer members, actively pursue this ideal by offering a variety of legal information and education initiatives,” Bergmanis said. “This video is another way to get the word out to Missourians, and we hope they will explore and take advantage of the services mentioned in it.”

The announcement, along with other informational videos, is available via The Missouri Bar’s YouTube channel and it will air on TV and radio stations across the state.
