Magna Carta Traveling Exhibit to Showcase Rare Collections at Missouri State University

A national traveling exhibit on Magna Carta will be on display from October 12-23, 2015, at the Duane G. Meyer Library on the campus of Missouri State University in Springfield, Mo.

The exhibit, Magna Carta: Enduring Legacy 1215-2015, was curated by the Law Library of Congress and produced by the American Bar Association commemorating the 800th anniversary of the Magna Carta. The exhibit is brought to Missouri by the Springfield Metropolitan Bar Foundation.

Developed to raise awareness of the importance of Magna Carta and its enduring legacy, this traveling exhibit features 16 banners, 13 of which reflect images of Magna Carta and manuscripts, books and other documents from the Library of Congress’s rare book collections. It also incorporates an eight-minute video, produced by the Library of Congress, which explains the materials depicted in the traveling exhibit.
